1) Position for a research assistant (post doc) at the university of Salzburg, Germany /B0005/1-2009 The Department of Education of the Paris Lodron-University Salzburg is inviting applications for the position of a research assistant (post doc) Intended Date of beginning: October 1, 2011 Duration of employment: limited to September, 30, 2013 Extent of employment: 40 hours per week Responsibilities: own scientific research and teaching, research and scientific support in the teaching and participation in administrative tasks in the field of education. Main tasks are teaching the basics of pedagogics and mentoring our students with their bachelor and master thesis. Qualification: completed doctoral studies in education, psychology or sociology Expected additional qualifications: Good knowledge of methods in qualitative and quantitative research Desired personal characteristics: joy in teaching and supervision activities, cooperation skills, flexibility, resilience, teamwork and commitment The postholder has to be well acquainted with the German language. 2) Consultants: “Adult learning and training needs analysis” at the Transparency International, Berlin, Germany Background: Transparency International (TI) is the global civil society organisation leading the fight against corruption. Through more than 90 chapters worldwide and an international secretariat in Berlin, Germany, TI raises awareness of the damaging effects of corruption and works with partners in government, business and civil society to develop and implement effective measures to tackle it. Assignment: Transparency International is commencing several very different international projects in 2011, involving local anti-corruption actors in societies across every region and major language group. Many of these projects have an adult-learning and training component. We are seeking an expert in adult learning to provide advice and recommendations on the following: What format should TI’s learning and training take? (e-Learning? Classroom training? Webinars? Coaching? Print products? Blended? etc.) What are the most suitable technologies and support tools? What methodologies and training development approaches should be used? How can we standardize our approach across all projects? How can we best manage multiple international training projects across several remote project teams? Start date: ASAP Termination date: All deliverables to be submitted within one month of engagement. Specific deliverables: Consultant will deliver a written report with specific recommendations. Knowledge, Experience, Skills Post-graduate degree in Adult Education or a related discipline 10 years experience in the field of training and learning development Experience in front-end analysis – references and samples required Hands-on experience in development of e-learning, webinars, and classroom training (training delivery experience not required) Strong writing and verbal communication skills in English To Apply: Qualified candidates should submit the following via email: A cost estimate for carrying out this work.
