ICWSM-12 THE 6TH INTERNATIONAL AAAI CONFERENCE ON WEBLOGS AND SOCIAL MEDIA
4-8 JUNE 2012: TRINITY COLLEGE DUBLIN, IRELAND
Call for Papers Technical Paper Submission Site: Available November 1, 2011 Abstracts Due: January 13, 2012 Full Papers Due: January 18, 2012 (by midnight Pacific Time)
The International AAAI Conference on Weblogs and Social Media (ICWSM) is a unique forum that brings together researchers from the disciplines of computer science, linguistics, communication, and the social sciences. The broad goal of ICWSM is to increase understanding of social media in all its incarnations. Submissions describing research that blends social science and computational approaches are especially encouraged. Though this conference is just in its sixth year, it has become one of the premier venues for social scientists and technologists to gather and discuss cutting-edge research in social media. This is largely due to a typical acceptance rate of 20% for full-length research papers published in our conference proceedings and support from the Association for the Advancement of Artificial Intelligence (AAAI). For ICWSM-12, in addition to the usual program of contributed technical talks, posters and invited presentations, the main conference will include a selection of keynote talks from prominent social scientists and technologists. Building on the success of the first workshops program in 2011 and our regular tutorials day, ICWSM-12 will also hold a workshops and tutorials day just before the main conference. Conference Website http://icwsm.org/
For general information regarding ICWSM-12, please write to icwsm12@aaai.org

ICALT 2011: WORKSHOP PROPOSALS
The 11th IEEE International Conference on Advanced Learning Technologies
July 6-8, 2011 Athens, Georgia, USA Educational Technology Forecast: Cloudy
with a Slight Chance of Gain

http://www.ask4research.info/icalt/2011/
—————————————————

Dear colleagues,

This email is to remind you that the deadline for submitting workshop
proposals at ICALT 2011 is approaching.
IEEE ICALT is the most important annual conference devoted to Advanced
Learning Technologies and offers a unique opportunity to present outstanding
contributions, to discuss the hottest topics of the moment and to introduce
colleagues to future Grand Challenges.

We invite you to submit outstanding workshop proposals on focused areas of
emerging new fields of research that are not adequately covered by the
themes of the main conference.

The 2 page proposals should clearly define workshop objectives, the expected
audience, anticipated outcomes, the tentative dates for the call for papers,
mechanisms for distributing the call for papers, a tentative list of
workshop reviewers, and the names and short CVs of workshop proposers.
Workshop leaders will have the possibility of submitting two page papers for
review and inclusion in the proceedings

Proponents have to submit the proposal using the ASK-Conference System at:
http://www.ask4research.info/conference/upload.php.
-> for further and more detailed information see the conference website

Workshops Management:
Once the individual workshop is accepted, the individual workshop
chair(s)should launch the individual workshop web site to announce the
workshop and manage the review process at their convenience. The URL of the
workshop has to be notified to the ICALT Workshops Chair(s) no later than
January 31st, 2010.

Once the review process has finished, the pre-accepted papers will be sent
to ICALT Workshops Chair(s) along with the reviews of each paper in order to
get a final acceptation from the Program Chairs. The main criterion for
final approval is consistency with the selection criteria of the main
conference and no overlap with similar submissions in both the main
conference and individual workshops (by the same authors).

—————————————–
WORKSHOP IMPORTANT DATES
* January 17th, 2011: submission of proposal (same deadline as for
full/short/poster papers)
* January 24th, 2011: notification of acceptance
* January 31st, 2011: Workshop Web-Site available from ICALT 2011 Web-Site
Workshops Chair
