Analisi preliminare della validità della Brief Multicultural Version of the Test of Mobile Phone Dependence (TMDbrief) su un campione di adolescenti italiani
Abstract
This study presents a contribution to the Italian validation of the
Brief Multicultural Version of the Test of Mobile Phone Dependence
(TMDbrief) on a sample of Italian adolescents. TMDbrief is a scale
of 12 items measuring four dimensions: abstinence, abuse, tolerance,
lack of control. A sample of 442 adolescents (Age: M = 14.37; Gender:
males, 23.6%) answered a questionnaire on the usage of digital
media including the TMDbrief and two items on the frequency of
mobile phone and Internet use. TMDbrief showed good construct
validity and its applicability in the Italian context. Additionally, this
scale can be used for research projects, prevention and educational
interventions on the usage of new technologies.
