Submission Preparation Checklist

As part of the submission process, authors are required to check off their submission's compliance with all of the following items, and submissions may be returned to authors that do not adhere to these guidelines.

Author Guidelines

Please read with attention these indication.  Qwerty is published in association with the Collaborative Knowledge Building Group (CKBG). The CKBG is a non-profit organization that boasts a solid reputation in the field of research in Italy and around the world. The CKBG operates without sponsors, having its membership fees as its sole source of funding, therefore:

  • any single author of any accepted article must become ordinary members of the CKBG for at least one year.
  • articles from more than one author, need at least 2 authors to become ordinary members of the CKBG for at least one year.

The registration fee is 70 euros and can be paid through one of the following options:

Articles in Italian, English, and French will be accepted.

  • Submissions: September 30th
  • Reviewers' Comments: December 15th

  • First drafts: May 15

Deadlines Volume 2 - December release

  • Submissions: February 28
  • Reviewers' comments: May 15th
  • Revised article: July 31
  • First drafts: October 15

Special Issue Deadlines:

  • Call for articles June Special Issue: March of the previous year
  • Call for articles December Special Issue: September of the previous year

Remaining deadlines: same as for regular issues

Manuscript should be written following APA style. Complete APA styles norms are available at apastyle.org.

Norms for Special Issues

Qwerty Journal will also accepts proposals for special issues.
The special issue may be proposed by one or more editors who will manage the review process jointly with a Qwerty editorial tutor.

Proposals for a special issue should include:

  • A brief presentation of the topic;
  • The topic should be compatible Qwerty's editorial vision;
  • The name and contact details of the editor(s);
  • A schedule for the editorial process, including the issue of the call for papers, submission and due dates, timescales and modality for the review process, and final submission deadlines for the issue (to be planned for March, 10th and September 10th each year.).

ACCEPTED PROPOSAL

Editor(s) will be asked to send a copy of the proposed index and a short abstract (200 words) for each article.

The final version of the special issue should include:

  • An editorial article; the editorial should be written in English (800-1000 words, references included) together with an abstract (300-400 words) in Italian and French, and 3-7 keywords
  • Generally, no more than four articles may be included in an issue of Qwerty.
  • Each article should follow the Qwerty norms in format and length and could be written in Italian, English, and/or French.
  • Full papers should be about 30.000 characters included spaces and written according to above descript Norms for authors.

At most one special issue per year will be printed.

Submissions for the special issues are requested by March, 10th and September 10th each year.

Authors are expected to consider carefully the list and order of authors before submitting their manuscript and provide the definitive list of authors at the time of the original submission. Any addition, deletion or rearrangement of author names in the authorship list should be made only before the manuscript has been accepted and only if approved by the journal Editor. To request such a change, the Editor must receive the following from the corresponding author: (a) the reason for the change in author list and (b) written confirmation (e-mail, letter) from all authors that they agree with the addition, removal or rearrangement. In the case of addition or removal of authors, this includes confirmation from the author being added or removed.

Only in exceptional circumstances will the Editor consider the addition, deletion or rearrangement of authors after the manuscript has been accepted. While the Editor considers the request, publication of the manuscript will be suspended.

Any changes requested after publication will not be possible.
